There are times in life when it can feel as though you are going nowhere. You may have been working towards something for months or even years, yet opportunities seem to disappear, plans repeatedly stall, relationships remain stuck, or the same obstacles seem to present themselves time and time again.
Road Opening Work is a traditional spiritual approach concerned with clearing perceived obstacles, creating movement and helping to open the way towards new possibilities.
Drawing upon my training and experience in Conjure and Hoodoo, I offer Road Opening Work as a focused spiritual service for those who feel they have reached a point where something needs to shift.
When the road seems blocked
Sometimes we know exactly what we want, but cannot seem to move towards it.
You might be:

- Starting a new chapter in your life
- Seeking greater prosperity or financial opportunity
- Trying to move forward after a difficult period Feeling repeatedly blocked in your plans

Road Opening Work does not promise to make a particular person, opportunity or outcome appear. Instead, it is concerned with clearing the way and creating the conditions for movement, possibility and opportunity.
My approach to Road Opening Work
My Conjure and Hoodoo work is informed by extensive study and training, including the completion of numerous courses through Crossroads University under a New Orleans Mama. Author Denise Alvarado.
I approach these traditions with respect and do not treat Conjure or Hoodoo as simply a collection of internet “spells. These are established spiritual traditions with their own history, practices and ways of working.
Each Road Opening session is therefore approached individually.
Rather than applying exactly the same ritual to everyone, I consider the circumstances surrounding your request and determine what form of spiritual work is appropriate.
What might Road Opening Work encompass?
Depending upon your circumstances, the work may incorporate elements of traditional spiritual cleansing, prayer, intention, protection, prosperity work, candle work or other appropriate Conjure practices or Voudou techniques, such as crossroads opening.
The purpose is to help clear what may be standing in the way and encourage movement towards the opportunities and possibilities that are right for you.
Sometimes opening the road is not about obtaining one very specific outcome.
Sometimes it is about allowing a better road to become visible.
A spiritual crossroads
The word crossroads has a particularly important place within many Conjure traditions.
A crossroads represents choice, transition, possibility and the point at which one direction can become another.
There may be moments in our lives when we find ourselves standing at such a place.
The old road no longer feels right, yet the new road has not quite revealed itself.
Road Opening Work can provide a spiritual focus for those moments, helping you to acknowledge where you are, release what no longer serves you and become receptive to the possibilities ahead.
Distance Road Opening Work
My spiritual work is offered remotely, allowing me to work with clients wherever they are located.
Distance does not make the spiritual work less meaningful. The work is focused upon your intention, circumstances and spiritual needs rather than physical proximity.
Before undertaking the work, I will ask you to provide some information about what you are experiencing and what you would like to change.
This information is treated in confidence and allows me to determine whether Road Opening Work is appropriate and, if so, how I should approach the session.
Is Road Opening Work right for you?
Road Opening Work may be appropriate when you feel that you are ready for change but cannot seem to gain any momentum. It can also be particularly meaningful when you are standing at a genuine crossroads in life and want to mark that transition through spiritual work.
You remain an active participant in your own journey. Spiritual work can support intention, reflection and change, but it cannot replace practical action. Sometimes opening the road means recognising an opportunity when it appears and having the courage to take the first step.
Sometimes the road is not closed.
Sometimes we simply cannot yet see where it leads.
